a touch of mulberry and small red cherry
supple and round middle weight flavors are surprisingly forward compared to how this wine is typically structured
a wonderfully broad array of spice elements
rich and well-detailed flavors exude evident minerality that carries over to the balanced if compact
which is to say out to 20 years of improvement followed by another 20 of plateau
Jean-Marc Blain-Gagnard, Chassagne Montrachet Caillerets Size:12x750ml a touch of mulberry and(from Vigne Derrire). Notes of petrol, citrus, pear and a whiff of tangerine peel combine to serve as a pretty introduction to the round, delicious and relatively forward flavors that possess a succulent mouthfeel where the richness is offset by an agreeably dry and persistent saline inflected finish. This isnt a classic example of a steely Caillerets but rather one that should drink well young and repay a few years of cellaring too.
