Batailley other_regions 38% Merlot and 3% PetitThe 1995 Batailley offers dusty black fruit on the nose, melted tar and graphite emerging with time. Personally, I would like more fruit for it comes across a little too austere. The palate is medium bodied with light blackberry, a little tough in the middle. Age has not softened this Batailley and it still feels unapologetically foursquare on the finish. Not bad, but it does not feel as if it is going anywhere interesting. Tasted at the chteau. Neal
